Perspective: The Size of the Interior World

Perspective is the size of our interior world. This interior world reflects the exterior reality, but it is limited by the dimensions of space and time. When we are young, our interior world is small, giving us the illusion that we are big, important, and even the center of existence. As we grow and mature, our interior world expands, broadening our perspective. We gradually realize that the world is vast and that we are not at its center. We also become aware of time and our limited presence within it. The difference between a highly intelligent but immature person and a mature, intelligent individual is not the level of intelligence—they may be equally smart. The distinction lies in perspective. The mature person possesses a broader perspective on the world, considering both space and time, which grants them something beyond mere intelligence—wisdom.
